Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering. 3 John 2
When have you last set aside time to care for your soul? The busyness, stress, fatigue, struggles, demands, expectations and distractions of life attempt to rob us from the abundant life that Jesus promised. Soul care is taking an honest look at what can affect the state of our souls and our intimacy with God. Soul care is not a one-time event, it is a lifestyle that includes an ongoing process of spiritual formation by seeking more depth in God's presence.
During this workshop we will learn some ways to care for our souls and explore a few prayer practices as a group, such as: scripture meditation, contemplative prayer, soaking in God’s presence, and journaling. Receiving soul care in community strengthens relationships through God’s personal affirmation of who we are and increasing our capacity to love others.
This is why we do not lose courage. Though our outer self is heading for decay, our inner self is being renewed daily. 2 Cor. 4:16
Soul care will sustain us for our journey in the Kingdom.
